El Paso is a city in the North American Union located in the former US state of Texas. The name comes from the Spanish el paso, meaning "the Pass", and the city was once a famous international border crossing-point between the nation-states known as Mexico and the United States of America. Today, El Paso remains on the border between the NAU and the Hispanic Commonwealth.
Nicknamed "the Sun City", El Paso experiences an average of 302 days of sunshine annually. Following several weeks of turbulent weather in the region due to meteorological adjustments by MacroWeather, El Paso experienced a fall of snow for the first time in February 2144.
