Location of Los Angeles
Los Angeles, or simply L.A., was a city on the west coast of what is now the North American Union, located in the former US state of California. The city disappeared some years ago after "The Big One", a mammoth earthquake that reshaped the coast of California. It is survived only by a nostalgic island dubbed Hollywood, where die-hard fans of the ancient entertainment form known as movies pay their respects to sets, scenery, costumes and the aging flotsam and jetsam of a thousand forgotten (and lost) films.
