Kiri Allen is a girl from Detroit who on 8 October 2142 miraculously survived a vehicular incident in the city. An ejection seat on the public floater bus in which she was travelling misfired, catapulting her into the air over Downtown Detroit. Fortunately the automatic parachute was deployed, bringing the 6-year-old safely back to Earth – frightened but unharmed.
This was the third floater bus misfire in less than a month, and a public enquiry was immediately ordered by the Detroit Transport Authority.
