Marin City is a city in the North American Union, located in the former US state of California. The city was farmland until 1942, which housing was quickly constructed to accommodate war-time shipyard workers. Throughout the 20th and early 21st centuries it remained small-sized with high levels of poverty, crime and drug abuse.
Now, the city forms the NAU's new entertainment capital. It is a glittering megalopolis that is home to the microchip and wetware industry, and the programmers and network franchisees who create the wonders – and the horrors – of the VR Net.
